Buhl Creek Hot Springs

Buhl Creek Hot Springs,
For the best experience, go to Buhl Creek Hot Springs in the late summer/early fall (and to avoid pool flooding). Because this is a rather undeveloped warm spring, you will likely get to relax and enjoy this one alone.

This small creekside hot springs is located 44 km (27 mi) up the Skookumchuck Forest Service Road near Canal Flats, in the East Kootenay region. At the confluence of the Buhl and Skookumchuck Creek. the pools are often flooded during spring run-off, therefore the springs are usually only hot in late summer and early fall. At that time, the water temperature can reach 40C (104F).

The hot springs can be seen from the road that runs alongside the creek just before the bridge. Within walking distance, there is a beautiful campground to stay at.
